PRESIDENT’S WELCOME

East Mesa Branch AAUW is a local branch of a national organization of individuals from all walks of life who share a vision of and dedication to advancing education and equity for women and girls. We have been hard at it since 1881. We are part of a network that makes a difference locally, nationally, and internationally. We welcome members from all professions and businesses who care about fundamental issues of the day: education, social reform, economic parity, and political awareness. The only requirement for membership is the equivalent of an associate’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.

We invite you to join us at a meeting or event by checking our calendar page to see what’s coming up. It’s a great opportunity to have fun, learn a little (or a lot), and make new friends. We also have interest groups, centered on stimulating ideas of Great Decisions, good books, fine cuisine, quilting, or socializing over lunch.

For membership questions, please email katperson@mcsn.com.

I would hope to meet you at one of our upcoming general meetings during the 2020-2021 program years and hope you consider making AAUW a part of your life.

Sandra Lackore

President
